Giving this stuff air proves its a viable marketing strategy.

Yeah, wonder woman used the all female marketing gimic thing - I think we made the mistake of giving it attention and blowing it up in to a bigger deal than it is.

I think the article has a point, getting bent out of shape because of that marketing gimic is kind of petty.

How did the Drafthouse violate federal law for the all-female Wonder Woman screening? There's no federal law for discriminating against customers based on sex. Some states have laws, but not federal.

Wonder Women only did well for two reasons. First it was a pretty good movie. Two, it appealed to both those who go to every superhero movie and women.

Superhero movies are action movies and appeal to the male group more over women. A lot of women at superhero movies are girlfriends or those who like the genre. But now that there was a female lead. All the men and women who had been going to the superhero movies still went (mostly men). On top of a majority of females saw the movie because of the female lead. Because of this you got the normal amount of people and more because women decided to actually go.

One way to get more female lead movies and female sporting events. Is for women to show interest in paying for it. If there is money there will be more movies and more professional sporting events were women make as much or more as the men's league.
