I understand your logic and it is very sound.

Killing 50 people for being gay or being friends with gay men, its a vile disguisting act, an attack against the gay community and men, and even all people who believe in freedom.

Its the act of a violent thug, who I hear was mentally unstable, so its a reminder of how important it is to address mental health and get people the treatment they need so this never happens again.

I feel bad the dead and injuried gay men and their friends, their surviving family members, and those traumatized by what they saw happen. I feel bad for the guts father and those muslims that are disgusted by this act, for they shall be the targets those jerks looking to punish someone for what happened, even though most muslims in America had nothing to do with.

Sad truth is this will boost Trumps populatity numbers.

gay men are still men. literally nothing that we as MRAs do is against gays. men are affected by tons of issues from suicide to false sexual assault accusations to prison sentencing to homelessness to divorce rape to university and workplace discrimination. instead, look at these groups...

feminists have cockblocked the LGBT movement for DECADES, to the point of calling in favors and getting their speakers censored.
leftists, although they fought for LGBT rights, are defending muslims' "right" to kill gays by defending islam. fuck that noise.

For Christ's sake, how is it that we're still having this conversation? The latino victims of this attack weren't killed because they were Latino. The other visible minorities who died weren't killed because of their colour. They were killed because they were at a gay bar. The killer was a Muslim who hated gay people, who hated himself because his Islamic identity made it impossible to come to terms with his homosexuality. This was a hate crime against gay people. These people were killed because of homophobia, just as slaves who were killed by slaveowners were killed because of racism. You have a right to take that personally just as I have a right to take this personally. That doesn't mean I have the right to blame anybody other than the person who was responsible for the attack, but it will happen again if we don't draw attention to hlthe homophobic motivations for his actions.

Your effort to turn this debate into a personal attack on me only further proves that your arguments are incapable of standing on the basis of their own merit. We cannot reasonably discuss a crime or attempt to make redress without discussing the motives for it.
