I remember a feminist once saying that victim blaming was never right. I pointed out the number of times the battered women defense was used. She said that would mean he wasn't a victim. I responded that depends on whether 1. it was self defense and 2. whether she was actually telling the truth about past abuse. She got quiet when I asked if Jodi Arias was telling the truth. I don't remember anyone decrying the victim blaming.

Anyway thought I'd get that out and find out what the pulse of the sub reddit was on victim blaming of the now killed man in "battered women" cases.

Only goes to show - a woman can murder her husband/boyfriend/lover and totally get away with it (you know she will) after making premeditated threats of exactly how she does it - all she has to do is cry and say she was an abuse victim.

Women murder men everyday and get away with it. VAWA makes murder of men by women legal. So just go ahead and say it: "Murder is legal." When it's a woman murdering a man. One rule though: You must not lie and deny you did it- the only women who get sent to prison for murder are the ones who deny they did it. Other than that, if you're female, feel free to take out a huge life insurance plan on your husband worth millions and murder away! The judge will have you out in time to get to the mall! Laws only apply to MEN. Women are above the law and even when they are arrested, it's nothing but all show because 99% of the time they get a slap on the wrist, that is if they're ever convicted of anything at all, which is usually not the case.

Funny how we have rape shield laws to protect women from their sexual history being used against them, but we don't afford the same sort of laws to a man who is murdered because of ONE case of domestic violence that apparently ends at "beat his girlfriend".

You'd think in an equal society we'd afford murder victims the same decency we afford rape victims but then again man murdered < alleged female rape victim.
