men talk about pleasing their partner and the women seem to only talk about what the men should do to please the women....i thought the difference was telling.

Well of course, women still speak like sex is something that happens to them, rather than something they are an equal partner in.

It's the same reason women think it's mens job to get them off, like their pleasure is somehow other peoples responsibility. I mean it's your orgasm, but somehow it's my responsibility.

So here's a better question: Men who are experienced at sex: what is something you wish women had been taught/told rather than discovered?

The answer would be "how to masturbate so you know what gets YOU going" & "how to be more selfless when it comes to sex."

It's an interesting observation, I have found that a fairly prevalent thought by a lot of women is that them simply being there is enough. That male sexual pleasure is as simple as "touch the penis and he feels good, touch it more and he feels better". I have always disliked this notion that seems to be rather prevalent even among men.

Rarely are men ever encouraged to surrender to pleasure, we must always be aware and in control of ourselves. It's starting to change with the fact that a lot of women want men to be more vocal in the bedroom, which to me is a step in the right direction. The connection hasn't been fully made yet though. I mean even when given a blowjob we are expected to be aware enough to warn our partner when we come and we are responsible for where the ejaculation goes. At least that's a common sentiment I keep seeing. While women are encouraged to just let go and let whatever happens happen. I don't object to women being encouraged to give in to their pleasure but I don't like the clear double standard there.

I would hope to see the day when men are encouraged to actually explore their sexual pleasure in more detail, and be able to fully surrender to it in the moment.
