Make a point of going to /r/mensrightslinks , there is great stuff in there, I put most of the early stuff in there with an older account ... and post it here to try to increase the quality, also report the drivel .

I agree with your points on posts on petty stuff. I'm also new and had made similar complaints before, and they suggest I just down vote those posts.

But if you think anti-feminism has nothing to do with mens rights, you do not have the full historical contexts and full social contexts yet.

Be the change you want. If you want to start a topic on a subject, you can do so. I've done it a few times. Making a topic about how people should make topics will just lead us in circles imo.

It's also a case of refining our arguments by retreading the same ground, and, frankly, Anger is a better motivator that Depression. What subjects would you want to discuss?

Our top post right now is mindless ragebait from a random SJW on tumblr. People need to take that stuff to /r/tumblrinaction, and we should have another sub for general anti-feminism too. Feminism is a crappy movement deserving of criticism, but our entire sub shouldn't focus on that. Moderation was lenient when the sub was smaller because we didn't have as much activity but now that we're well over 100k users I think we should have stricter moderation to cut down on tumblr-feminist posts and bring more focus to actual discussions. The tumblr posts are crowding out real discussions

I am seeing a lot of posts simply complaining about feminism/irrelevant news stories to men's rights...

This sub serves many purposes, venting is a perfectly acceptable purpose.

There also just doesn't seem to be enough discussion about important issues in my opinion. I am probably guilty of these points over my time here myself but my first post was about the right for men to opt out of alimony at the beginning of a relationship if they make it clear they do not want children. It rwcieved a big response and I loved the debate it sparked!

And it has happened a thousand times before. The discussions have all been had. They reoccur when new people (especially critics) enter the subreddit.

There are a lot of petty posts that I would normally associate with third wave feminism e.g. "if the genders were reversed" which is related in issues of domestic violence etc but not when a male news reporter asks to be thrown by Ronda Rousey...

I agree this pisses me off. We have much in the way of legitimate issues and some posts with real important get buried.

I would like to make it clear that I am not against this sub in any way; I just wish to discuss my thoughts on these topics?

I'm gonna blow your mind. If you want to have a discussion start the discussion. Mind blown? Great, have a nice day.

Building up rage against feminism and feminists is good and a catalyst for action and activism to stem their tide of misandry.

For example if we see a man being beaten up by his wife, he calls police, he gets arrested and loses his job. That's because of the Duluth model, made for and by feminists, to have institutionalized misandry.

Then we need to complain, build up a rage and think of ways to exorcise feminist influence from law and government.

Seriously, if you're really frequent this sub like you say you do, you should know that at there are at least 3-4 posts EXACTLY like this every week.

Actual activism, real world activism, is very hard for MRA. When AVFM held a conference on Men's Rights, people called the hotel hosting the event and threatened to murder the staff. When GG tried to hold a meet and greet with CHS, someone called in a bomb threat. Talks on Men's Rights get protested by bigots that blockade the entrances and pull fire alarms.

Yes, there is a lot of rage bait in this sub. But it takes passion, it takes anger to be willing to risk your life. This sub is building up the passion, stoking the fire, so that leaders willing to get shot at can emerge.

There's plenty of good discussion and links on here. Upvote and comment in what you like, ignore what you don't, start the topics that you want to discuss. That's how Reddit works. Much of what you might want to talk about has probably been hashed and rehashed a hundred times already.

One of the best videos (sets of) I've seen related to MR was posted earlier today and has almost no traction. Go and watch them, comment in the threads.
