No, there was no boycott, but there should have been.

Not because of any (real or imagined) feminist content in the movie, but because they hired a lifelong man-hating feminist bigot, who wrote a play celebrating the drunken lesbian rape of a 13-year-old child, to be their feminist rape consultant.

In the future, when every action movie has a feminist consultant to avoid anything "problematic," remember to thank all your fellow MRAs here who cared more about not being called misogynistic by the media than doing what's right and assured you seeing this movie was no big deal.

The movie lacks enough "oomph". That's why it won't be the big tent pole action flick.

It basically looks like a 1980's Mad Max film.

Shoot it lost to "Pitch Perfect 2" - a chick flick.
