If a girl sends you nude pictures and you share them, that's felony now?

Lemme get this straight. Woman attempts to rape man:

  • Doesn't get charged

  • Almost certainly gets half of her husband's assets plus alimony

  • Even after she cheated on him

  • by attempting to rape one of his friends.

I have no words for this.

I don't know about the assets or alimony. A lot of divorce courts usually side with the person who was faithful.

My friend who I work with lost his house to his ex after he found out that she was cheating. So now he has so pay for a whole new house again, luckily she didn't get alimony because of a previous marriage.

[–]laxdstorn -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm not super knowledgeable on divorce laws and regulations, that was just what I thought.

[–]keeb119 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

nope. women get the benefits most of the time. and i dont know if texas is a no fault state, but if it is her infidelity does not matter.

[–]pajamajoe 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

In the US most states follow "no fault" divorces where according to the courts nobody is at fault and you give up half your crap anyways.

[–]laxdstorn 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But there was obvious fault? There is a clear event that cause the marriages ending. Without that event, the marriage would have continued regularly. How can they not blame it 100% on her? She should give him half of her shit.

[–]pajamajoe 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea, it doesn't matter at all. Infedility, abuse and any other reason don't effect the outcome of a divorce in the states for the most part. Unless you committed a major felony and are requesting a divorce while they are in prison it pretty much doesn't matter.

[–]keeb119 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

because as far as the court is concerened it doesn not matter. now if she was found guilty of raping someone that could play a major role.

[–]Francois_Rapiste 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I should hope so, especially in this case.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most states have no fault divorces these days.

As a test, I like to swap around races/sexes in a story to see if it would be biased.

A woman rapes a man, walks off scot-free A man rapes a woman, sentenced to decades/life in prison.

It's blatant misandry.

[–]AccipiterQ[S] 22 points23 points24 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. A man breaks into a house, strips naked, and repeatedly forces himself on a woman, attempting to eat her out several times. She calls the police. The man is....not charged?

[–]scdi 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, that is the patriarchy, treating women as if they are children not responsible for their actions.

Also, if the woman was punished and the man wasn't, then that would be the patriarchy unfairly targeting women.

Your breakfast today was probably the patriarchy as well.

I really want to take a few articles swap gender and post it somewhere else and watch the blow up, than just point out the change.

[–]Frobenioid 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

His "spunk viper"? Seriously? This must be the rape culture feminists are always shrieking about.

[–]franticantelope 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

God that narration literally made me sick with anger

[–]DavidByron2 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Grand juries are just cover to make a decision already taken by the prosecutor but make it look like it wasn't his fault.

At first I was a bit offended by the writing style, but then I remembered the kind of website Tomonews is, it's pretty akin to upworthy and Buzzfeed. But oh well. Who has estimates for when people will start to care for men's issues? I'd say by the time I have grandkids.

[–]Millenia0 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This uh, is satire?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I've said it before. If women were the sexually frustrated gender, not only would rape be legal, but it would probably be illegal to resist rape. Looks like I might not be far off.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It's already happening. I've seen domestic violence literature stating that refusing a wife's request for sex is domestic abuse. It's considered a "denial of affection". Apparently it is already a crime in Mexico and, I believe, India. A Frenchman was successfully sued a number of years ago for the same thing.

[–]keeb119 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

but if a woman refuses her husband, and he has sex with her anway its spousal rape.

[–]ronconcoca 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Of course is rape if you don't consent, even if you are married. Why would that have to change?

[–]BioGenx2b 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why would that have to change?

This is not being suggested. The point is the hypocrisy.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except...

India - Activists join chorus against gender neutral rape laws

Israel - Women’s groups: Cancel law charging women with rape!

Feminists also tried to prevent similar amendments in my country of Australia and if successful would have left it legal for women to rape males - including little boys - as it was up to the late nineties.

[–]BlitheCynic 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Outrageous content aside, does anyone else find that headline exploitative and gross?

[–]stumpdawg 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

well, i mean. everyone knows guys cant be raped.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

How do we prove that a woman raped a man; same thing when a man rapes a woman in marriage. It's he said, she said. How do we know this isn't false accusations? If women can state false claims then men can too and maybe it's because I'm still a noob but I'm skeptical. I believe he's trying to set her up knowing certain groups like the MRA will come to his aid, Buzzfeed is an excellent site to go as well since it generates lots of traffic.

[–]Demonspawn 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's he said, she said.

Fair question. In this article, and in some of the news reports of the arrest from last year, it is stated that she confessed to the home invasion.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for providing that source. :-)

[+]spursmad -6 points-5 points-4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Good luck here. Take your logic elsewhere. This place is just as bad as any feminist centered subreddit.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have to give it the benefit of the doubt first...I got to try and understand

It was his best friends wife. Some men still have a sense of honor.

[–]Apellosine 10 points11 points12 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if it wasn't, not all men want sex whenever they can get it. If he doesn't want sex and it id forced on him no matter what the reasons then it is rape.

[–]AmazingAndy 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He probably knew she crazy. Hows that saying go... Dont let crazy put your dick in its mouth?
