What's undermining men is the exploitation of man's traditional role as a protector and provider. Anything that disrupts the ideology that men should continue to serve this role is of value to the movement.

The folly of feminism is that it too enforces this role of men instead of setting men free. Women were freed from their fathers and husbands but men weren't freed of their obligations to their family or the state.

I think you misinterpret those posts. They aren't typically advocating for some specific action. Rather they are pointing out the hypocrisy of feminism.

You need to argue this a lot more clearly and carefully. The viewpoint that what is undermining men is the argument that men and women are the same needs a far bigger defence than a simply stating it.

I disagree with most of what you have said, but I am not going to argue with it, because the onus is on you to state your case.

Women and men are different. However there should be equality of opportunity (if a woman can meet all the physical requirements a man has to, then she can be a firefighter), not equality of outcome (where half of the firefighters are women, because fairness) which tends to be what feminists see as equality.

That being said most of the fairness posts in this subreddit seems to be about legal issues. How rape accusations are handled, child custody considerations, alimony, etc. I will admit that sometimes discussions can get a bit out of hand, "How come I have to be the one to make the first move." "Ehhhh because that's how men and women work, just deal with it." Even with those though, I think it's still okay to have such discussions because they're NOT things that are typically discussed, at least from this side of things. Women pretty frequently talk about unwanted guy attention, but it's far more difficult putting yourself out there than it is to turn someone down. Even someone that won't take a hint. I've been on both sides of that setup. I mean what's more stressful, presenting yourself for a job interview, or interviewing applicants?

And really, if they're not going to discuss such things here? Then where will it be discussed?

Dunno about OP, but I'm looking for fairness.

I'm not for broad, blanket legislation pigeonholing ANY gender into a role, just because someone's arbitrarily decided "no, that's men's/women's work".

If you can do something, do it. Except for giving birth, I'm gonna let each individual do what they want.

What I'm not for is the exceptionalism and double standards and picking-and-choosing that goes on. Or, in a practical sense, the changing of something that may negatively affect that something but must just be changed to suit a certain group of people.

In other words, I'm cool with women being lawyers, or CEOs, or lumberjacks, or what have you. Just as long as they're held to the same standard, and maintain that standard, that would be expected of anyone else.

What do you mean with "men and women actually are quite different"? I would say it's about the average man and woman mostly.

The average woman is less competitive than the average man, and has different interests, and some other differences.

But there is no need to limit the options of both because of that.

If a man wants to do "womens" work/hobbies, why not let him? It won't affect you after all. Same into the other direction. If a woman wants to be a firefighter/soldier/engineer, why not let her?

Fairness is the fairness of oportunity. Even if man and women are different at average, some man are still very different from the average man and some women are very different from the average woman. I don't care if some fields are male-dominated or female-dominated, but if a person wants to do a job, and is able to do so, we should let him/her.

I disagree with you entirely. Men's rights shouldn't be about maintaining gender roles, but about doing the work feminism fails to do and ending them for men as well as for women.

They don't benefit us at all.

I think a big problem with the men's rights movement is that it harbors these two groups of people who have such polar opposite ideas, which makes it difficult to get anything done except whine about feminism (a sort of common ground).
