After getting into an argument with the girl i had been dating for the past month, she started hitting me in the face. My lip began to bleed, and i tried to contain her to stop the blows. She wouldnt stop, so i tried getting out of the car. She pulled my hair until i finally broke free. I immediately called 911 and said i needed someone removed from my property.

She leaves, and i go inside. I see the lights of the cop cars pull up, and i go outside to tell them she had left (big mistake). One cop immediately gets my hands and places them behind my back and moves me to his car. "Stop resisting" he says, even though i haven't resisted at all. They start questioning me, and i begin to get nervous and stop answering their questions. They place me in the back of the car and close the door.

They talk outside amongst themselves, and come back to me and open the door. I refuse to answer their questions, and ask them if i am being arrested. The cop says i am not, so i ask if i am free to go. He says i am being legally detained, and i am not allowed to go. I ask him why i am being detained, and he responds for "not cooperating with an investigation."

They keep trying to convince me to tell me her name, number. I refuse to give them any information as i am afraid it can be used against me. I am in the back of their car after all. They tell me i have to wait for their sheriff to come. He comes, they tell me to get out of the car, and i take out my phone to try to record in order to protect myself. They take my phone, and put me back in the car.

After 45 minutes of being in the car, the cop comes inside and says "were going to give you your phone back, you can go inside."

After being the victim of a domestic dispute and calling for help, i was detained for over an hour. My private property was taken from me, and i was locked in a car against my will.
