A week ago there were shots fired in a class building. Campus shuts down for a few hours. Later we learn the professor's ex wife was abusive, causing him to have to live in a motel (big surprise, we don't have a men's shelter). Well she fucking killed him then herself in his office. I think if the genders were flipped it'd be all over CNN

It's worse than nothing being reported. It's being whitewashed as just a "murder suicide" without relating the domestic relationship. They're not even releasing the killer's name in national media. Although of course, they are calling for "moar gun contrul!"

A man hits a woman who he once shared an apartment building with 20 years ago? Domestic Violence! A woman kills a man after an explosive breakup ending with him being forced to move out? Random violence.

What I didn't like is that, if it wasn't for the headline above the video, you'd have no idea that the shooter was a woman. They just kept saying "shooter". When it's a man, they say "Gunman". It's like their purposefully using gender neutral words.

A girl brought a gun yesterday on campus to shoot someone (no clue whom), but thankfully she was arrested. No clue what the story is about, and it didn't even make the local news. My friend didn't even get an alert from the school.
