The problem with the whole "men's culture" concept is that it makes this assumption that it's wholly men who are pushing it on other men, or even worse, that it's all in someone's head as an inaccurate self-concept for this culture.

It's not; guys act that way because most of the time, that's what women respond to; more specifically, they don't respond to the opposite. Women are not attracted to a guy crying, or a guy being thoughtful, nice, feminine etc; not on the whole, otherwise we wouldn't have to make the "nice guy" strawman to explain away why guys who do that sort of thing suffer social consequences, i.e. not desirable for sex or leadership.

Is it true that women attempt suicide more frequently than men? I know men commit suicide more frequently, but it could be true women try more.

Edit: Put a period where there was a colon. Also, why downvote? I asked a question which contributed to the conversation.

This is misandristic drivel, pumping the current popular feminist meme that men are terribly oppressed by "masculinity", and that they need to be rescued by "equality", read feminism.

That's right, college guys are worried if they go out they might drink too much, not if they have enthusiastic sex with a woman who has also had something to drink they might wake up a "rapist" and get kicked out of school.

Should men who get raped by the divorce court "take it like a man" or complain bitterly about how unfair the system is? I wonder what this dirty femcunt would say, I'm guessing that would "be different".

Seriously, this is a great example of "cunting", and we should be down voting this shit, not putting it on the front page. Or at least flairing it as " feminism" not "progress".

No mention of issues of actual importance that strip men of their rights such as forced genital cutting of baby boys, false rape allegations that destroy innocent men's lives and the harsher prison sentences men receive compared to women.

From her story women's greatest problems are poor body image and being judged by how attractive they are. Cry me a fucking river.

Also according to her writing all of men's greatest problems such as a higher rate of completed suicides and dying earlier are due to the patriarchy so we need gender equality (feminism).

Being a man should be worn like a badge of honor. You protect women and you don't show weakness because you are a man. You be a rock for your woman to lean on, but it does not work in reverse. (Few exceptions... death of a immediate family member, or when you get old old and senile..) But seriously that's it.

No woman ever wants her man to come home crying about how so and so is picking on him at work. No woman will ever find that sexy. EVER. In fact, most would probably find it down right repulsive.

It is in males evolutionary nature to lead and protect women because they are generally physically weaker. That's not a knock against their gender, it's just fact.

I don't care what woman says she wants a man to be open about feelings and cry; she's full of shit.

Men are probably more successful in suicide because an attempt is a cry for help and men don't generally do that. When a man decides to go die, he doesn't take a bunch of Tylenol and tell his friends what he did so they can 'be all concerned and call EMS'.

The gender roles of being a man will never change because as a man you don't get to be weak.

Maybe a ton of people will down vote this.. I don't know.. Maybe I'm just too old school?
