Hey guys! PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE TYPING PLEASE! Both women's rights and men's rights have a long way to go to be truly equal, there are undoubtedly inequalities that both women and men face and they can be just as harmful.

So the thing I want to say is; neither feminism nor mens rights has a manifesto- they're ideas. My ideas of feminism is often different from other feminists' ideas and my ideas of mens rights often differ from MRAS's ideas. I know there are some radical feminists and radical mens rights but I do not feel the need to disassociate myself from that term just because there are a dumb people that abuse the term.

It upsets me when I go on tumblr and see feminists reblogging a screenshot of an MRA saying something stupid. They are discrediting the name and thus are making the cause irrelevant. And it upsets me when I come on reddit and see a top rated post about what a dumb feminist has said and how the feminism sub is full of people saying how irrelevant it is because they saw a screenshot of a feminist saying something dumb.

DUMB PEOPLE SAY DUMB THINGS! And it is completely and utterly infuriating to watch both groups constantly degrade each other- this doesn't help anyone or move the discussion along in any way! And it has now lead to this idea of "all feminists are deluded" and on the other side "all MRA's are deluded". It has become one against another, men against women, and it needs to stop if we want any sort of progress.

The fact that some women face hardship in the workplace doesn't take away from the fact that men are screwed over in custody courts. The fact that married women in Saudi Arabia can't have their rapist husband jailed doesn't take away from the fact that female rapists in India face no consequences for their actions.

Please- we need to work together and acknowledge that some of us have different privileges and face different problems
