He wants the state’s definition of rape to include ‘sexual assault by deceit’, which he defines as: “An act of sexual penetration to which a person has given consent, because the actor has misrepresented the purpose of the act, or has represented he is someone he is not.”

So, for everybody talking about how makeup or misrepresentation by a girl about herself would be rape, you can sleep soundly. The bill's language is really about equality.

See, every man is represented equally poorly.

I wonder whether this idea was something he came up with independently, or whether some people with a specific view on men and sex have the Assemblyman's ear.

I think women lying about being on birth control to control a guy should be under this potential new law, though how one would be able to prove that he didn't want kids could be tough. Would be hard to convict I would imagine...so maybe nevermind.

There’s no subtle hinting – he tells her straight out that if she has sex with him just once, he will give her the starring role in his new movie alongside an A-list star. She agrees. But as soon as it’s over, she finds out that he was lying.

He isn’t the producer she thought he was; he’s a creep who made it all up.

Just so we're clear, you're not a creep in you're in a position of power, soliciting a sexual bribe from a woman, and there's also nothing wrong with her engaging in a sexual bribe to gain a position that she wouldn't have by merit.

However, if you lie to a woman and trick her into sex, you are a creep, and you're also a rapist by one opinion.

Men lie about stature, jobs and such for the exact same reason women wear make-up, dress cute when they go out and alike, to attract someone.

A man may make his job sound more bad ass, may try to give the impression he has money, all for a mate. A woman does the same thing when she wears make up, she makes herself look even better than normal, to attract a mate.

How this is directed at only men blows my mind. Pretty much every human inflates themselves in some fashion, to turn that self inflation into one of the worst crimes imaginable, only for men, is absurd to me
