My STBXW finally answered my complaint for divorce. I met with my lawyer yesterday and she filed a counter claim and asked for temporary orders basically she wants a walk through of the house and exclusive use of the F150 Lariat she drives that is in my name that I pay for. She told me she wanted a divorce on April fools day and no marriage counseling ect. She was done. She already has taken alot of things from the house but she must want to see what else she can take. I agreed to the walk through and agreed that I will keep making payments on the truck she drives. I counter requested exclusive use of the marital home and that she continues to make the house payments and I am paying all utilities and maintaining the property. Our son together that graduated high school in May lives with me and I see to his household needs and make sure he has a safe place while he gets his start as an adult. I have a very good job that I have worked at for 30 years and I am considered a highly compensated employee. When I met my STBXW she was a single mother with a daughter starting in nursing school working as a bartender at a local fraternal club. She and her daughter ended moving in with me and I took care of her daughter while she was working and in nursing school. As well as my 3 children from my first marriage on my visitation days with them. After she moved in she became pregnant with our son that just graduated. Yes my mother swears to this day she baby trapped me. Fast fwd about 19 years she is a RN and supervises other RN's has a good job now and is pretty successful and is makes and less than half of what I do and just got to that point in the last 5 years. Me or my son had no idea that she was planning on leaving me as soon as he graduated but she's been planning this I believe for years. She insisted she handled the joint finances. I have known for at least a couple of of years that she was not depositing her milage checks in the joint account but it wasn't worth a argument with her as it would end up being my fault she was doing it as anything she does wrong would always somehow end up being my fault and she would never take blame for anything pretty much are whole marriage but exceptionally so the last couple of of years. I got to be very good at letting her have her way on everything she wanted to avoid any confrontations with her because she always thinks she knows more and is smarter than everyone one else. Any problems at her work is always someone else's fault. In hindsight I see all this now and I always made excuses for the way she talked to me and treated me in front of my family, children and friends. I just finished No more Mr. Nice guy book and see the error's I made in the relationship. I am currently using the Grey rock method and have not communicated with her at all everything goes through my lawyer and I had to file as she is too busy going on trips with her boyfriend and paying for the trips with funds she took from the joint account that is now closed. I cannot believe how many men have this happen to them and how there's no loyalty to a person that has supported you in every way. I evidently am a good guy I currently have alot of women pursuing me and feel as if the tables have turned and women now go after men. It's almost like sharks smelling blood in the water. This is something I have never experienced as I was always loyal and faithful to my STBXW. WTF is going on in the world now?
