I believe that my wife should pay me alimony and/or child support. She makes 40k more than me per year. We will have split custody of the children. She thinks I shouldn't get any of her money, althoughshe is giving me the house (and the mortgage that comes with it). Can a mediator resolve this or is this something to take up with a personal lawyer (which means sky rocketing lawyer fees).

my wife makes 80k more than me and we tried mediation and it didn't work. someone told me that men don't want to pay alimony 90% of the time but women don't want to pay it 200% of the time.
A mediator can't force it on her and she won't give it up. If its important to you, get a lawyer.
