Yes, if you're going to DIY you can save a fortune but if she changes her mind mid process you'll be starting over, possibly in a worse spot.

I did everything myself while my X wife was in the midst of her affair fog. I was sweating up until the final signature went on the forms from the clerk.

My state has a 4 month waiting window, twice during that time I thought she was going to start fighting.

It took about two months after it was finalized before she started saying she didn't get what she deserved, even though we had agreed to everything.

Keep in mind she left me out of the blue to go live her best life, 100% her choice.

Total cost was about $400 for court fees.

In my state she also had to actually show up to court herself and it had to be filled jointly.

Yes and it can be done at any time until you are actually divorced.

A) child support agreements can be changed at anytime even after divorce finalized.

B) while all other things can be changed… they’re unlikely to be changed once notarized and filed.
