So I finalized my divorce of my wife of 5years (knew for 10 total) in February of this year (she was cheating on me repeatedly and I found out). I tried to do everything right, I even filed the divorce, got possession of the house etc. However, I did end up having to pay temporary alimony, paid her out of her half of the house, and divided up our (read: my) investments. I ended up paying her more than I care to think about as it still makes my blood boil.

She moved her stuff out of the house after the settlement and that went alright. She tried to hug me after she was done. I literally pushed her off me. She tried again and I rebuffed her again. She's like "really??" Yeah, really! You don't get to cheat on me with multiple guys (I still don't know the exact count but more than 3 that I know of), take my hard earned money, almost get part of my Navy pension and still act like we are parting on good terms. We ain't.

So I moved on. The house was a lot cleaner and less cluttered without her junk around. I did some improvements. I started spending more time with friends. Got promoted. Bought a new car. I even have been spending a lot of time with a lady friend I made this year. We're not dating but we do spend a lot of time talking, texting, hanging out. Honestly she was been the best thing of the past several months. I'm in no hurry to jump into anything but if I did, it would be with her.

I only saw my ex one time since she moved out and that was at the funeral of a mutual friend 2 months back. After brief greetings, we ignored each other the whole time. I didn't want to cause a scene.

My only thing is that my ex still hasn't apologized for her behavior that lead to the divorce. She even tried to guilt me after I filed for divorce for kicking her while she is down (she claimed to be having mental health problems). Am I crazy for being a little ticked off she never tried calling or texting me after the divorce to apologize? She never did. It's been radio silence on her end since we were through. I know I should feel happy about that and honestly, if she did call I would have probably just cussed her out and told her not to. But she didn't even give me that option. Seriously, is it messed up to wish she would try to apologize so I can throw it in her face that she messed up big time? I thought about writing a snide email when I made my last alimony payment to let her know how much I despised what she did but I never sent it. I didn't want to be petty but man do I want to be petty...

So tell me redditors, am I messed up wanting to hear from her just so I can tell her off one last time?
