Is this a joint, uncontested filing? If yes, you can split any way you wish and continue living in the house even after divorce or choose not to split. There are no laws that say what happens in family court (dejure) should happen in reality (defacto).

Yes, the divorce can be finalized and stipulate the proceeds are split according to your marriage settlement agreement. It may not be split 50/50 if there are other assets to divvy up such as retirement accounts, or liabilities such as credit card balances or other outstanding loans.

Unfortunately, in Ohio, you have to be living separate for 1 year.

As for the house, yes, it can be split 50/50 or whatever percentage you would agree on. Say one of you has $xxxxxx in a 401k that would be split 50/50. One can keep the house 100% and the other keeps the 401k. Something like that.

You have to negotiate. Everything should be split 50/50. Your lawyer should inform you on the process and normally what the outcome is. When speaking in courtroom always be over the top courteous to everyone judge an attorneys. Always say good morning your honor. Yes your honor.

When it comes to bullshit by the other attorney. Say something “your honor that is a complete fabrication. Simple not true. I have never done anything like that at all. On the other hand I have texts from my spouse threatening me with fraudulent claims unless I agree to her demands.”

Everyone keeps saying things will be split 50-50 but they’re wrong. A) you can come to an agreement in how to divide all possessions including the house. B) If you can’t agree a judge will agree for you. C) what does a judge look at? Pre divorce filing debt… current income… investments including 401k and stocks…. D) if you don’t agree you can spend even more money to appeal but you get only one.

As for the vehicles. With how long you’ve been together you’re likely getting one of the vehicles but things like if she owned one before the marriage and other issues could determine which one and even if you get one.

Finally it sounds like she’s preparing for war but if I was you I’d totally try to get her to agree to Mediation. No reason for you both to give a rap video ‘being shot at the strip club’ worth of money to attorneys when you’re just fighting over possessions.
