Attorney said stay put, don't piss her off & get in a fight & get arrested. Hard living together while I have no vehicle, job or money. I'm her house boy who has to kiss her ass & walk on eggshells.

It is better to be broke going through it. No income is even better. Build after the divorce not before. Can’t believe people don’t think about it. Rely on friends or family to live until divorce is over and don’t accumulate any assets.

What are you hoping to get, other than your half of the home equity and an equal split of the other assets? I'm guessing at least part of the reason she's leaving you is your ex-con status? That alone will probably keep you from getting any alimony, if that's what you're gunning for.

Yeah man, I'm on an unpaid leave of absence until my disability claim is determined. It's been 2 months. I'm applying for assistance all over the place just to get the kids and I food, rent and health insurance. I'm getting used to skipping meals. Just hoping like hell they approve my disability claim. I'm in bad shape, I can't work in my condition, so if they deny me I'll have to look at social security disability. My STBX is completely broke too, working a part time job and barely scraping by.

You are broke and she made more money? Then things are gonna be in your favour eventually. Don't lose hope and don't do anything stupid. This is a war you can win. But you will need to maintain situational awareness. Also quit your alcohol addiction if possible. It will really do you no good.

Generally speaking, the worse of a financial position you are in during the divorce, the better. Do what you can to survive financially but don't go crazy - scrape together what you can for legal representation and talk to your lawyer about hitting her up with a petition for temporary spousal support and legal fees.

Best divorce you can have. She can't really get shit from you even cs or alimony payments will be minimal
