Just sharing to share. Been 17 years together, 12 years married and separated since mid Oct. Told her in mid Nov I wanted to terminate but she talked me into giving it one more try. I said then that I wanted to do an uncontested divorce and would consider mediation or arbitration to make things transparent and smooth.

Told her 1/24 I want to terminate again, and today she contacted a mediation service (since she remembered that's what I suggested previously). So they emailed us both, I talked to them. Things seem cool. I told them I want to proceed, they are going to email us the secure forms to sign to get started. And once we sign those they file on our behalf. WA state has a 90 day cooling off period, but it appears they can file uncontested, start the clock, and then we can work out the details, submit and once approved sign off on. They claim their average time from start to finish is 100D.

So I'm feeling really good about everything. I am actually glad that she found the service and contacted them first. Now if anything happens hopefully she will recognize that they are a neutral 3rd party and just telling her what is.

ASIDE - So with luck.. ~2wks from now will file and ~3mo from now it's all done. Appreciate all the support, input and information from this forum. Pending posting a lot and will post updates mostly for me, but will wait until the first actually meeting to post anything new. My emotions are still all over the place, but I know I'm making the correct decision terminating. We just are not romantically compatible. And that sucks because I have so much love for her, but the writing is on the wall; we are not going to work long term.
