Yes, you will share the burden. I see comments related to dower state, which mostly don't apply during divorce in Nebraska. All states have shifted to marital property, ie. anything acquired after marriage is deemed community property

Any debt acquired after the marriage becomes marital debt, regardless of who signed or not. Someone said depends on the state though, so it must not be universal. But here ANY type of debt is counted, including student loans.
