What specific test are you requesting? MMPI?

If you are not in a routine therapy situation you should consider it immediately. I started therapy for CPTSD right before my ex told me about her emotional affair. The counselor shifted immediately to supporting me through all the crap that followed and then through the time of the divorce process. Just having someone who listened and asked pertinent questions kept me balanced and focused on maintaining a high degree of focus on the goal.

When you go through it, just be honest and transparent. Trust that the professionals will see the real situation. Don’t talk about her, just focus on your kids. Talk about them, and what you want in the future and how you’ll get there.

Looks like a double-edged sword, brother. Mental evaluations are so situational.

I highly doubt a judge would allow those videos and recordings. What led up to her behaving like this? Was she provoked by you because you wanted to get her “acting crazy”? Was she aware you were recording her? I think everyone at some point in their lives have acted and behaved in a manner that others would deem crazy.

The best thing you can do is be honest with your answers. The person conducting these tests do them often enough to see through BS. Lying or misleading would not be in your best interest.

im in a similar position but i have a TRO against her. my therapist mentioned that these tests are designed to sniff out lying BPD narc types.

example would be when they ask something like "have you ever yelled at your children" dont say "no". no one has ever not yelled at their kids. thats kinda the way i believe they are able to detect lying. so just be honest, but dont overshare is the way im going into it, if we go that route.

OP, there are control questions through out the evaluation, or should be. These control question are designed to catch people with personality issues.
