Hi all, I wanted to post an update since I’ve gotten so much support from this group.

It’s been a year since getting divorced. We divorced amicably without lawyers. We still get a long very well, actually better then we ever did during our 11 year marriage. We have two kids together, they’ve had issues as a result of the divorce, we got them the help they needed made some adjustments and moved on. The kids seem to be a good place as well.

I don’t miss her like I used to just because we get a long so well now. I do feel lonely and absolutely don’t want to know if she is dating or with someone else. Not sure if that means I haven’t fully gotten over her I just don’t want to know.

I have done some dating myself, online dating is pretty horrible in my opinion. I have met some nice women but damn dating has changed a lot in 15 years. There seems to be this grass is greener on the other side notion. I feel woman and some men have so many options now that when you do go out on a date with a woman, you’re getting maybe a quarter of her attention. Schedules are hard especially if both parties have kids. I have taken a break from dating over the last couple months which in turn has increased my over all happiness.

I have found a new hobby that takes up most my free time. I enjoy hanging out with friends without restrictions that’s really nice. To be honest I really enjoy being a lone quite a bit.

I don’t really have words of wisdom other then just embracing the situation and moving on with your life.
