listen to /u/no_prnd - in the majority of cases women are the gatekeepers to decide if they will have sex with a guy or not. I am assuming she was not raped, so she no only made a conscious decision to have sex with him, she decided to ignore the vows and commitments she made to you and your family.

So please stop thinking of it as a situation where she was a passive participant with no say in the matter.

As for men - and males of most species of animal - at genetic / DNA firmware level - we are opportunistic - a very small investment of time, energy, effort and risk at the right time and place is all that is needed to pass on our DNA to the next generation, as opposed to the huge amount of energy, calories and risk a female has in carrying, birthing and raising offspring.

As humans, we've developed to a point where we have structures (society, civilization) that don't map to our ray DNA in all cases... We can go down a huge mental rabbit hole dealing with it all.

I don’t know man. Sickening - especially with kids. I lay awake most nights in my new shiny apartment alone just in awe of how my life has done a complete 180 over night and every minute I’m missing with my boys that some other guy gets to fill in drives me insane. I’m having a hard time seeing the benefit of my new future - wish I would have known more about the very likelihood of divorce and what it does
