Went to a highly reputable lawyer in my area for a consultation and she definitely put me as ease with most of my divorce worries.

Biggest issues are finding ways for me to get time with my two kids (I have a job that requires me to relocate) and what to do with the house. Currently have a $544k mortgage but the house could potentially sell for 700k plus (houses in our HOA have sold for over 800k). My lawyer suggested to forgo ailimony/child support and just offer to pay the mortgage in the property settlement agreement (PSA). The stbxw would then get enough money each month to pay the mortgage and could sell at any time. I'd like half of the profit personally. I thought this was a great idea but I know the stbxw is going to shit on it.

Quick background check on stbxw: No income, extremely high maintenance in every way including financially and hasn't had sex with me in probably over a year.

My lawyer said if she doesn't accept the PSA then we are filing. She said if my stbxw gets an attorney to fight any of the issues at stake that they will call her crazy unless her lawyer really really wants to cause havok.
