I'm pretty sure these type of people, who typically do things like promote classes about "toxic masculinity", and tell men to upon up while doing nothing at all to make society a safer place for men to open up, make men emotionally stunted more than the "patriarchy".

Also, yes. Blame the men for being emotionally stunted. Don't blame the women who picked them. Also, emotionally immature women don't exist, apparently!

ive grown less inclined towards the view that men are 'emotionally stunted'. im sure there is some truth to it, e.g. repression of ones emotions,

what ive seen far more of is a lack of emotional maturity from women. by that i mean an inability to control their emotions in any way shape or form. to be subservient to their own emotions in other words.

my sense at this point is that what is typically referred to as male emotional stunting is more a failure to understand that emotional maturity entails not being the subject of ones emotions. doesnt mean repressing them, simply means not acting out primarily based on them.

emotional maturity is being able to handle your own emotions, in other words, rather than dumping them on others to handle. that emotional dumping and emotional hog seems to be a trait women laud themselves for.

just scream loud and long enough, rage at people, until they are forced to do something to manage your emotional state for you.

I don't know how many times my ex would claim I'm emotionally dead or immature or what ever, because I didn't care about how she felt. And what feelings did I not care about? That she was upset that we got the Kia and not the Chevy (3k cheaper and better APR), that we didn't go on a cruise (first year of no more christmas bonuses), or because I rented a thriller instead of a comedy, after she said she didn't care what I got.

So, that's what I think of this post.
