This "emotional labor" idiocy has to stop. If I got paid minimum wage for all the time I have spent in my life holding a woman in my arms because she was feeling bad about something stupid, I would have enough for a new car, at least.

If emotional labor is real, men do 10 times more of it than women.

So long as feminists approach the process of human empathy and emotional connection as “labor”, they only out themselves as sociopaths who only view men in their lives as something to “expend labor” to get something out of, purely transactional and only unilaterally relevant.

Someone once told me that “love is the effort,” meaning it’s that noticeable, tangible tendency to do things for and w someone else, the effort that demonstrates in itself the underlying compassion for another. A feminist response at the time was, “Well, I think love is no effort at all! I guess you can’t just love freely and are just struggling w the ‘effort’ to love. (Etc)” Ironic that the feminist response now- no less antagonistic and bad faith- is, “Of course, its effort! It’s a laborious effort to love men, and women should get paid for our effort!”

I don’t see why anyone in this sub posts her stuff. She’s asserting everything without evidence; it can be dismissed without evidence, too.

Maybe we can focus on actual male advocacy instead of complaining about every misandrist influencer?
