Appreciate the apology. Please, try therapy again. I saw you said it doesn't work, but bear in mind that you often have to try a few therapists to find the right fit.

So I was getting ready to respond to the previous topic.

Recognizing when you aren't in a good headspace is a good thing. Sometimes we all need a break. I've been there too for what it's worth.

Taking a break when you realize you aren't in the right headspace is a good thing. But please don't stop trying to improve.

Because isolating indefinitely isn't the solution. Isolation makes feelings of hopelessness and despair worse.

It sounds like you are frequently unkind to yourself in many ways, and it’s important to recognize and appreciate moments of strength like admitting you were wrong about something. Allow yourself and others to give you credit for your better moments. I WFH and am online pretty regularly so Feel free to reach out if you need to talk.

I didn't see the vent but I have had my own anger spirals as well. I'm glad it happened in the digital space where you can delete it and this only happened with strangers instead of friends family and coworkers.

who hasn't had a few digital crashouts. I've b had a few. in real life I've worked to get better and have fewer and fewer.

I haven't seen the original post, and I don't know how helpful it can be, but since it seems you're in a better head space now here's some stuff for you to consider.

Why do you want people to tell you you're hopeless? That sounds like a terrible thing to do to yourself. I certainly understand not wanting to instill a massive false hope, but recognize that until you've scientifically proven somethig is impossible, you don't know when a hope is completely false. So, instead of engaging in "thought stopping thoughts" (like depression, or a cult would want) challenge your assumptions with as close to science as you can get.

I can't find the video, but the psychiatrist Dr K told a story about a client of his who was a woman who was a 10 (great career, great looking, etc) who was asking him if she really should love her "mid" fiance. And the conclusion for her was that she did love him and it didn't matter.what other people thought of those stupid dating rankings. This story stands out to me because: just because something isn't very likely, doesn't mean it's impossible, and there are always things you can do to make it slightly more possible, or at least make sure you don't sabotage your chances if fate starts working out in your favor. ( the video wasn't about dating or the red pill so I can't figure out how to find it again, it's lost to me because Dr K is quite prolific)

I don't hear therapists online talking about them often, but they're the single best thing I accidentally stumbled upon for my mental health. Work in them with your therapist, if you want to give them a try.

Take up a cheap hobby you need your hands for. Not masturbation lol.

Macrame, crochet, knitting, reading real books at the library, learn an instrument. Something that connects you to the real world?

While your anger may not be entirely wrong, dating is messy as it is these days, don't lash out at others trying to help you.

Easier said than done but you could be affecting a lot of relationships in this process. So pay attention.

With that being said, work on your self hate. If you cannot say good things to yourself, at least for now stop saying bad things to yourself.
