Here's my observation of the type of men who are getting sucked into red pills, either as followers or gurus:

Clueless and uninspired but also naive: Quite a lot of young men don't know their purpose in life... which is honestly fine. Instead of just setting out on their own to find new hobbies, interests, friends, and communities a lot of guys turn to gurus who basically grown them to be ubermench for wars that don't exist. Society is collapsing, there's a crisis of weak man, so you need to get your ass in gear, hit the gym, stop fapping, work out 5 times a day, never sleep, journal every thought, only eat raw bull testicles, never do something for fun but only to fulfill your MASCULINE IMPERATIVE!

You have to become a strong man because the modern man is too weak, and too weak for what is never answered. Yall calm down. There's no deadline or even requirement to ever be "filled". Take a fucking breather and just be in the moments to just live.

Terminally online rizz seekers: A lot of guys aren't socializing or participating in sports or clubs in high school so they have missed out on a lot of real socialization when it comes time to move out or go to college. So these guys will finally start being interested in dating as a women and just not know anything on how to do it, and will more or less believe any conveniently packaged up grand theory like red pill, being a "real man", being a "chad", etc... It also doesn't help that red pill gamifying dating into perpetually, obtain gold, put perks in strength and charm, slay the dragon, get the girl; or as Myron Gains often says, getting enough gym badges to control your girl like a high level Pokemon.

blind sided divorce causers: Usually guys who are ending up in nasty divoces are ending up in MGTOW spaces. Likely married (too) young. While it is likely their fault, it's not always. If it is their fault, its more from being a bad partner than necessarily a bad person. Things such as, refusal to do chores, helping with kids, and overall be domestically end killing off a lot of relationships.

Wanna be players: They're usually more normal young guys, but they're just very immature. They hate rules, decorum, and being a "cog". Instead of wanting to go to school or climb develop a career they just want to take shortcuts to success from dropshipping, podcsting, selling alpha male courses, or clout chasing. This is where the Sneako, Adin Ross, Andrew Tates, etc go.

I haven't done a survey or anything, but it seems to me a lot of those guys spent their adolescence and teenage years more online than offline. Then they get to adulthood and realise their social skils are severely lacking.

They get excited when they find a community with guides and lines thinking it is a shortcut to making up for thousands of hours of social development.

I’m going to come out of left field, but I think RP can come from any walk of life.

I feel some have one of the following:

Mommy issues: Like, how many accuse women and girls having daddy issues or an absent father. Some of the guys have the same issues with their mother or some things she did and hold it against all women.

Bullied and teased by women or girls when younger: Same as the above, but replace “mean mommy” with “evil guuurrlls from school.”

Learned toxic views from family, friends, schooling, and community: Judging from the looks around, a lot of people grow up in some very paternalistic and regressive spaces. They’ve formed a lot of harsh judgements and beliefs about different groups, and women just so happen to be one of them. Even women in these communities may hold these views also.

Othering bias - This is sort of like how people develop certain biases about other ethnic groups or minority and in the sense that they are fundamentally different or completely alien to who they are. Maybe not inherent prejudices involved, but unusual confusions or feelings.

Bad dating and relationship experiences- Already mentioned.

Sexually thirsty men and boys - Basically, men or boys who are not having enough sex with women or girls as much as they like to. When it’s not happening, they basically take their frustrations out on women and fall in to these other categories and call themselves incels.

No. Red pill men are guys with no experience with women and believe angry men on the internet because they are angry themselves that they can’t be chads and just have women falling all over them.

Normally its people that actively seek out certain types of shallow people, and then use that to reinforce their beliefs. Basically they manifest it.

Lets suppose you are right.

When a lot of men are just having bad luck, maybe it is not badluck. Maybe it is a symptom of something true and not just pure randomness.

This creates a pattern. This pattern serves as basis for the RP.

So no, it is not pure luck.
