Hello Ya’ll and Happy Holidays

I’m currently in an age-gap relationship, dating a woman who’s 15 years older than me. She’s beautiful (looks younger than her age), smart, caring, no kids, and our chemistry is through the roof. In addition, she’s my very first girlfriend and feel incredibly lucky to have met her, given my immense struggle with dating given my mental disability and below-average looks. I’ve been the happiest since god knows when, attributing to my increase in confidence and self-esteem. My family and friends have been very supportive of my relationship and didn’t really seem to mind the age gap either. With that said we haven’t met either of our parents yet.

With that said, I can’t help but feel remnants of RP beliefs in my head. How they parrot that a man should date women in their early 20’s, beyond that are considered as “leftovers” or “damaged goods”. Doesn’t even help that terms like “Old hags” are being thrown around. Or how they’re “settling” for a “nice guy” after riding the CC supposedly. Y’all get the gist.

How do I disconnect myself permanently from these ideas while in this relationship without potentially sabotaging what I have going on?

Edit: Forgot to add in, we’ve established a committed relationship with no intentions of having kids. She doesn’t come off as controlling either, encourages me to go out and spend time with family/friends.
