He sounds exactly like a redpiller himself, though? the thread says the exact same things that redpillers say. That’s the thing about red pill. there is no standard dogma. There’s always debate going on. It’s not like they all just belief the exact same
things. That’s why it appeals to everyone, the only dogma is extrapolation, exaggeration
and over reliance on evopsych. the only dogma is "men and women will always
be completely differently due to biological differences" but the way they interpret
this one dogma can be extremely contrasting for every redpiller. one redpiller
will say "women cheat MORE because of [insert scientific claim here]"
and another redpiller will say "women cheat LESS because of [insert
scientific claim here]”. But in the end they both end up making claims that
women are inherently this and men are inherently that. this guy will still
appeal to the redpillers that are on the side of the debate that women don’t cheat
because we have no “biological” incentive to and our sex drive is “radically” less
and we don’t desire multiple partners and men are the completely opposite etc.
etc. Which is a incredibly simplistic and black and white, precisely how redpillers like it.
He’s not saying anything I haven’t seen a million times from redpillers on purplepilldebate. this is honestly not going to help in the long run i think.

regardless of his own views, I just doubt the “science” angle is going to be the solution. The red pill should be treated more like a social issue, not a scientific debate. these guys were not sucked into the manosphere by “scientific truths”and then became misogynists. they were misogynists first. That is the core issue. it’s not going to go away with science because the red pill just absorbs that in their own favor. Imo, if it looks like a duck… the comments on his youtube channel are filled with manosphere guys who use terms like “hypergamy” and “the wall” and “female nature” very seriously. And he entertains them. you don’t see scientists using red pill jargon. There is no detoxing going on over there. there is just finetuning the doctrine. You can be a more descent person in a cult and still be in a cult. One of the manosphere guys in his comments described it as the manosphere of 2027 rather than the current “outdated” stuff. In the end, both these guys and the traditional redpillers treat people and relationships as science projects to be analyzed every step of the way. he can do as he likes, I just don’t think anti-redpillers should promote it as the primary means out of the redpill. This is primarily a social issue filled with hurting, jaded and emotional boys and men.

Not necessarily true, most guys just become radicalized because TRP plays into their insecurities about how they are just in the bottom of society, unable to form relationships with women both because they are told they losers and because society is rigged, TRP has always gone much more deeper than misogyny. They don't become misogynyst until being exposed to the idea of "female nature" as a chaotic, irational, emotional and exploitative composite of characteristics in women's personality. This is my opinion ofc, because as a former TRP, i wasn't a misogynist before TRP because i didn't believe in no female nature.

There is no detoxing going on over there. there is just finetuning the doctrine.

I guess there's no detoxing going on there and that's not the main goal in what he writes (i think?), but he has been making a lot of TRP crumble... in his site - www.datepsychology.com he has done a lot of BS check with articles like "Why AWALT will be wrong most of the time", "Testosterone Black Pill" (showing that almost everything we know about testosterone and how it affects behavior or how good it is is all quite meaningless), Shitting on AF/BB with the Dual Mating Hypothesis debunk... In a lot of his writings he sayis that being a good guy is good to attract women and that being a psychopathic alpha is bullshit. If he's finetuing anything at least he's contributing to this whole TRP and black pill bullshit to become much better and decent, less extreme and more down to earth. Making things "less bad", i guess.

I'm quite sure he's going to fuck up at some moment, because TRPers and Incels are most of his audience and the pressure to suck it up to their bullshit in one way or another is big, still, eyeing what this dude is doing every once in a while may help, IMO.

I wouldn't know, i don't know if he ever said that or what context he said that. The most i've seen him say was that personality isn't really something you can change out of the blue or willingly, so most incels will keep being incels if their personality traits lead them to be that way. Me, personally, i think he concluded that based on personality studies that show that personality remains stable over time, but that's different than saying that you can't alter your personality, because most people aren't actively trying to change their personality anyway, so the fact that most studies show that personality is stable doesn't account for the cases of people that may be trying to change actively. Instead it accounts for the people who are just living their lifes normally and are obviously not trying to change their personality (which is most people).

Plus the decades-old social 'rules' of lying to pad someone's feelings, lying to cover your own due to mental health stigmas, lying when we're around extra-controlling and abusive people (abuse victims often have to detach from the habit of lying protectively in recovery), etc. Lying is extremely normalized within a wider society.

I'm always assessing the possible motive more than the lie itself because sometimes people do lie for very good reasons (like abuse, to not seem creepy, etc). Sometimes it's reflexive and we don't even deeply think about it. Being caught lying can also carry a huge cost that understandably causes people to lie more that can feed a person's 'double down' mentality.

Lying is also the status quo in business to get the business (unethical, but hey, it's true), lying to the customer to ease their tension, lying to your boss about why you're late, lying to the store clerk about how your day is going, to our spouses when they throw you a loaded question about does their ass dimples show in that dress, lying to our kids about Santa Clause.

Our holier-than-thou attitudes around lying is actually very humorous considering.

"Several"? Nope. One? Nope. I brought in musk because I mentioned Tesla, who aggressively promotes electric cars, unlike other brands who don't go about it as aggressively.

Why can't you understand that the mining of the metals required to build these cars generate immense emissions and they exploit slave labor in countries they get these metals from. By eroding the natural ecosystem.

Then you add to the fact that the machines that actually mine these metals also generate emissions.

Plus, the transportation of those materials to the factory that molds them.

Then transporting them back to the assembly factory.

At best, only the assembly factory or at best the battery manufacturing (excluding the raw material mining) will have "officially low" emissions.

The rest, are just as bad. There's no difference. They're not "less bad". THEY'RE THE SAME. So why pretend like they're better and that it's not all a lie?

You think buying a freaking 20k-30k-60k electric car is going to help change climate? Do you think it's helping the people in those countries that they get the raw materials from? How is it any different? People can barely keep up with their regular payments here.

Open your eyes man. Work your brain. Why are you buying into the marketing? Can you not research and think for yourself? Just curious.

My original point was adding to the comment I was replying to. I.E. Businesses and corporations lying to sell products. We just call it "marketing".

I’ve already acknowledged this. ICE cars do the same, and worse. You speak as though EVs are born messily, of mammals, but ICE cars are brought by storks who survive on sunlight alone.
