Are there any people here that are perpetually single, celibate and happy? How? Id like to learn you do it. The BP has made my life miserable.

These are people who have their needs met in other ways and don't use relationship status as a measure of their self-worth. This is hard, but possible. You can't 'learn' it. You go on with your life, do things you enjoy and create a social network without forcing the outcome.

Celibacy is normally based on religious vows. So, if one were a true celibate (monk, priest, or nun), I guess they deal with it through prayer and fasting. I'm guessing laity would do the same.

Some people do practice abstinence for a variety of reasons.

I feel society has gaslit me into believing 𝐼 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 a relationship all my life. Not everyone is meant for relationships or marriage and if you're not, this will be revealed to you. By me acknowledging this about my life, it gave me peace.

I'm perpetually single and happy but I'm also asexual (and somewhat aromantic) so I don't have any mental burdens in this area; it maybe different for others.

I live my life by living in the moment; taking trips, going hiking, skating, going to spas, by practicing meditation, and almsgiving. This gives me happiness and fulfillment.

Remember this, 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲. When people believe this, they enter into codependent toxic relationships where their value 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧.

Lol, yeah. I tried casual dating but it just made my existential crisis worse at the time. Sex is somehow being sold as a cure, it's not. Neither is a relationship.

In order for anyone else to be enough you first need to be enough.

Most people treat a relationship as a way to get better, you first need to get better yourself.

Like, there's a literal world of things to do.

So find out something that you'd quite like to do other than be in a relationship or have sex. If you can't think of anything ask yourself what would you liked to have done by the end of your life and then do that.

If you're still drawing a blank, get really good at your job, learn a language, learn dancing, take up swimming, anything, do it for a while maybe you like it, if not do something else. It's ok to be looking for things you like doing.

In all honesty, though, it sounds like a great time to start a therapy, it'll help with your current issue, it takes significant amounts of time, and it will change you as a person. It helps being alone during those times because others may not like to see you improve. Sad but true.

Everything is a trade-off. I don’t know your age range, but I really enjoy being alone, particularly as I’ve gotten older. I have a job where I talk to many people a day, so coming home to quiet is a beautiful gift.

Immerge yourself in a passion, project , construct a solid network of friends. Become a master in your field or pick a field and become an expert at it. Maintainning and bulding a loving relationship take time and effort but it come at a cost of some sacrifice, dream, liberty, carrier change, carrier expertise. Just enjoy what a major parts of people can't then. But also notice that it's gonna be hard, you will probably never stop caring about woman, instead you must choose to renonce of them in a cost vs benefits approach (The time and effort it would take you to attain and maintain a relationship vs what you could realise with this time and dedication) . You could also try to give back to your community, helping others to change your perception of yourself hope it helps !

When you’re genuinely secure in yourself and living your best life with work, hobbies and friends, ironically so it goes, that’s when a relationship tends to come along anyways. People are turned off by learning the other person is desperate for validation and approval. Healthy people run from people who seek a relationship as their central focus. Making another person your whole world is codependency.

This is just my opinion but I really think that a lot of celibate men would actually do fine without sex, but society has sold them this idea that sex and relationships are necessary for happiness and that they are only valid as men if they’ve had a couple sexual conquests. This is not at all true.

There are many examples of men who are happily celibate. Absolutely do not think that I am in any way suggesting that MGTOW is a great community and there’s tons of issues with it, but there’s plenty of men in that community who seem to have no issues with celibacy.

Another example is the Monastic Buddhist Monks. Those guys are celibates but they get to hang around Monasteries to meditate, study philosophy, and plenty of other things, they seem pretty happy with their lives. There are monks of other religions that do similar stuff of course too.

Personally, I don’t know if I could be considered “celibate” but I am single and have almost zero sexual experience. I am kind of looking for a relationship but I’m not at all in a rush and trying to have fun with it. I’m honestly just too busy with classwork and hobbies to worry about it a whole lot.

Celibacy is not at all a permanent condition like RP/BP makes it out to be. Some people begin their sex lives sooner than others, and that’s totally okay. You can indeed enjoy life while also being single and celibate. Personally, I would argue that being single is preferable to relationships sometimes but that might be just me.
