And it demoralizes me heavily. I'm still in the process of de-toxing (20M), but so many things keep mentally blocking me from having faith in any potential future relationships, assuming I even find one.

With all the statistics, ancetodal reddit stories, and irl conversations I've heard between people at work, school, and in my family, cheating seems so casual now.

Not a day goes by without me hearing about someone who cheated on their S/O, whether its irl or an online story.

It feels like on the off chance I stumbled into a committed relationship, the chance of being cheated on is high, disproportionately high.

One particular theme I've noticed is attractive men being hit on by female coworkers. Hearing their perspective of how often they get hit on or flirted with without even doing anything (sometimes by married women). It doesn't do any good for my hopes.

I've seen enough ancetodal tales to believe that it's not a one-off thing or someone spouting bullshit on reddit. I get that men do it to (and probably more), but they aren't my target demographic.

Is this just confirmation bias or is this just something less attractive men have to come to terms with.
