I found this subreddit and I really like it. I want to better my own ideas and change my mind, so I wanted to hear your thoughts on the divorce courts:

50% of marriages end in divorce 80% of the time the female initiates the divorce.

A marriage is like a coinflip whether it succeed or fails (statistically). In event of divorce I can't cite the exact statistic but usually more than 90% of the time the guy pays for alimony (percentage of income), then child support another large chunk of his income, then he loses 50% of his assets in a divorce. A prenup can be teared apart if they female who signed it claims she signed it under stress. Some MGTOWers claim that if you are unlucky and have a liberal feminist judge then your prenup most likely won't matter.

So what's the incentive to marry? If I have to coinflip my future to spent the next 3-4 decades raising kids and working a job doing 60 hour work weeks to pay for my kids, mortgage, etc, essentially being a slave in my opinion. And the other 50% although free from your obligations from the first example but divorced and financially tied by the divorce court to pay alimony and child support for probably the next 10-15 years.

What's the point?

I can't fathom why a man would get married.

I am all for having a girlfriend, I think that's amazing but marriage, nah.
