Being in isolation for a year, and having my only form of seeing what people my age are doing being through social media, I have really fallen down the black pill rabbit hole.

Whenever I go on social media like tiktok and instagram, all I see is girls in my age group (teenage - college age) "simping" for dudes who are all better than me.

Athletes at their school, popular frat boys, hot dudes with chiseled jawlines and that middle-part haircut or floofy perm that every dude has now. If you are one of these guys, it's like you just have this social status that puts you above every other guy, and any girl at this age would immediately ghost you for one of these guys.

You will NEVER be her first choice when any of these guys could just slide in her dms or hit her up. If a girl is even slightlty attractive, she will only choose one of these guys because she knows she has many options. It's like they are telling me what kind of guy I have be if I want a chance with any of them.

I see girls in the comments of these videos literally throwing themselves at them, saying things like "I'd let him do _" to me, or "add me on snap ___." I couldn't imagine a girl every saying those things to me, let alone dozens of attractive girls saying it. I know incels like to blow things like this out of proportion, saying that girls say "Chad only," but literally seeing this in action while me and many other dudes struggle to keep 1 girl interested is pure suifuel. I also see videos of how every girls is snapping mutiple guys, and they are always the same as the guys above. You have to compete with every one of these guys, and if you don't have those "status" prereqs, you won't even get the chance with any girl you find attractive.

Tiktok has honestly convinced me that girls in my generation have the highest physical standards for guys, especially since they have the most options every through social media and dating apps,  and this really pushes the 80/20 rule for me. I know the 80/20 has been proven to be false in general, but I feel like specifically for my age group, it is true. Why does my generation have the highest number of male virgins at our ages? (Under 24) Why does it seem like every dude my age gets next to zero matches? Why do many men my age seem to have unfulfilling dating lives, despite many being average heathly dues and not basement dwellers?

This videos honestly make me believe girls would get with these guys just because of their status, and I know thats a misogynistic view to have, but I can't help but feel bad about myself since it makes me feel like I am less than these guys because girls wouldn't do the same for me.

I don't want to be an incel, I want to have a healthy and fufilling dating life. I can't change the fact that I was ugly + socially retarted my teenage years/first few years of college, and never got to experience what it was like to have the social status and female attraction of being an athlete or popular dude at this age. Maybe I can become a "chad" when I'm older, but I don't want to believe what I see om social media reflects real life.
