TRP is not alt-right but many RPers are into the alt-right, this is probably because both groups share a zero-sum game view of group dynamics - gender in TRP case - due to TRP transactional view of relationships. Overall, I'd say RedPillers are more progressive than the average American just because of age but they are more conservative than the average young American.

With that said, I couldn't read that article due to the paywall but i see a picture of Joe Rogan. If Joe Rogan is alt-right according to the Daily Wire, I can't absolutely take them seriously. Joe Rogan is way more progressive than the average man: he supports abortion, BLM, gay marriage, weed, immigration. What do you want more? He only said he doesn't identify as a feminist butaccording to surveys not even most young women identify as feminist in America and UK, most Gen Z men even think feminism has gone too far in the UK according to suveys and they are the most progressive group of men.

The Chris Rock nice guys bit has nothing to do with trp.

TRP is an ideology sprung out of the Seduction community and stealing the "red pill" moniker which has been used for many different topics since Matrix came out. TRP is a seduction/get laid community first and foremost, but their ideas are misogynistic by nature and thus, there is a lot of overlap with the right wing.

They happen to agree with Chris Rock here but Rock is not "redpilled"

The term red pill was used by the Alt right since before it was even a pick up artist thing. Since their ideologies have overlap, they probably had a common source to begin with.

I would say that happened in 2015-16 when Republican/Trump figured out that the resentment that the red pill manifested could be weaponized very effectively in the political arena.

Alt-right agitators know just as well as you and I that their opinions are atrocious so they have to resort to dirty tactics to advance these awful causes.

Calling any male who stands up against them a "cuck" or a "beta-male" was directly targeting common inferiority complexes and insecurities that men have about women and they saw this as a way to encourage more men to follow their causes while simultaneously humiliating their opposition.

The narrative that feminists don't respect their male allies as real men is a REALLY effective one for spreading alt-right and the red pill rhetoric and sadly one that never actually gets challenged.

The manosphere was pretty apolitical prior to that in my own personal experience.
