A significative reason behind my redpill and then blackpill journey was thinking that only women and hot men had it easy in the dating world, anyone else had either to pay or go through thousands of obstacles to get what remains. I'll admit I still struggle with this mentality a lot when I'm exposed to the right triggers and the internet definitely doesn't help, not because of what RPers say (I don't lurk on their spaces anymore) but also because of what "normal men and women" say.

I don't know if you have noticed it but but there seem to be a lot of men on Reddit complaining about getting 0 dates while women usually complain about small problems related to their dating life (ie how to select the best man among their options) or getting hit on too often, it's a dramatic and weird difference and someone with my bias can spot this even more easily.

Some say that women receive only more creepy attention but I argue that women seem to receive more attnetion even from people who are actually interested in them (not PUAs, sexual harassment etc.), they still seem to have an unrealistically easy time dating on Reddit compared to male redditors. Does Reddit attract particularly attractive women? It's weird, there are so many women who talk about going to multiple nice dates a week or month like it's nothing. I don't have female friends but I don't know even one man (and I have many male friends) who's able to get dates so often with the exception of one very attractive and tall Chad (to give you an example, my sister said "Damn, he's hot" the first time she saw him without even knowing he was an acquaintance of mine).

It's not my pilled bias, really! Women on Reddit have been noticing the same trend and have my same concerns but in the opposite directon. Recently, on TwoXChromosomes, I read this comment with hundreds of upvotes:

It’s absolutely exhausting. The dating subreddits are far & away the worst for this- r/tinder, r/dating, etc.- they seem to be where the socially maladaptive, resentful, & redpilled male redditors congregate to hamster wheel around about how evil, shallow, & stuck up all women are for not being interested in them personally.Don’t get me wrong, I understand the majority of people turning to those subs are there because they’re currently unsuccessful in dating & looking for help but it’s impossible to have a conversation about the challenges of actually dating because they’re so focused on their inability to get matches or dates in the first place. In their mind if they could just get matches, all their problems would be solved. No one who does have “options” to choose from has anything to complain about. In reality getting matches in the “game” of online dating is like dribbling in basketball. It’s the base requirement to participate. If you can’t dribble, you aren’t really playing basketball.I wish there were a place for people who have no problem getting an abundance of matches or dates or whatever to discuss the challenges that come along with the experience of actually dating, not just the very first step of matching.A place to discuss strategies for narrowing down the pool of matches to a workable set of just those with actual potential for connection past the obvious “I’m physically attracted to you, you’re physically attracted to me.” implicit in matching.— without then being piled on by a bunch of resentful redditors who have never touched a woman in real life. “Hurr dur woow a female complaining about having too many options!” “Must be sooo hard having so many people want to fuck you, what a horrible problem to have.”

From the same thread:

Attempting to talk about the experience of actually dating on r/dating just leads to being accosted by incels with comments like “wow you’re complaining about having options?” “At least someone wants to fuck you, must be nice!” As if the point of dating is to find anyone at all interested and be unspeakably grateful to them for even looking your way. It’s sad that Reddit seemingly has such a large population of men who are so repulsive to women socially, emotionally, and physically that any attention at all from the opposite sex is “a win” in their mind but that is certainly not the goal of dating for normal, well adjusted people. For normal people, both men and women, the goal of dating is to sort through the options available to you in order to find real connection.

Seeing that many women would consider me and my situation a "not well-adjusted person" and "sad case" makes me feel very inadequate, even though I'm involuntary celibate my situation is not that different from those of other men I know. These women clearly have a strange idea of what "normal" is, it's like they live in a different world. Honestly, it's shocking to see that there are people out there who are so used to getting dates that do not find it flattering anymore. 90'% of men I know would be extremely flattered if any woman asked them on a date, the exceptions are only the very attractive ones I talked about before but, again, they are rare. Do I live in a different reality or are the comments coming from women on Reddit weird? Dating is not supposed to be that easy, Reddit seems like a strange place sometimes.

I often read users here saying that after controlling for creepy attention men and women have exactly the same amount of options but, from what I read on every other dating sub, this doesn't seem to be the case. Are some people lying? Or are you also suprised by this gender difference on Reddit?
