I met a guy through a Facebook group and we clicked very quickly. He is older but by only by a few years (we are both in our early/mid twenties). He texts first and our conversations are always nice and interesting, and he doesn't let the convo end until one of us goes to sleep. He has a great career, similar family dynamics, and is open- talks about his values, wanting kids one day (just in general, don't worry, he isn't love bombing), and we have similar financial values. We have had a video call once and we both enjoyed it.

Only problem is- he lives far from me - 2 hour flight. I don't have a problem with long distance because eventually, I wouldn't mind moving to where he is (I don't want to stay in my city forever anyway). The issue I feel more nervous about is how to date someone who I've only met online. What kind of things should I watch for? How do I make sure I continue to be HVW?

We've both talked about how we'd only commit to something serious once we met, which I agree with. Yet, with covid, I don't know when that will happen. But, I don't intend on visiting him first. I believe he should make the effort to come to me.

I'm not halting dating with other men, I'm still seeing other men until I get committment.

I guess I just would like to know if anyone else had a successful LDR with an HVM and has any tips on what to do, the process, and can just share their experience.

Ldr: met a great guy online who lives 2 hour flight away, need advice and tips on long distance online dating before commitment.
