I feel like music culture has gotten even worse lately. Between this and the new Ariana Grande song, it's about total female subjugation. I don't get it.

Just listened to this song. It sounds like Doja Cat is singing in the point of view of the “instagram girl”, saying “I stole your man, he got freedom to chase what he likes.” BUT then goes 180 and says “he ain’t even worth none of your time...he’s trash”. Lol what a joke. Women putting down other women Bc some scrote liked their pics. What’s sad is this is really how a lot of pickme’s think.

Oh man I used to love Doja Cat but got soured on her after realizing she worked with Dr. Luke (the producer who abused Kesha and gaslit her for years), so this doesn’t surprise me

Pop music is reeaaaally going through it. I always think about how we went from riot grrrls and many female singer songwriters on the charts...to this. There is more good music now than ever and it's more available than ever. But the most popular things? They're unusually bad currently. And I guess what's most insulting is that it's being sold as something else. And it's happening more than it ever has. If you asked any of these women about feminism, it is more than likely that they would say they're feminists. But it's empty. You have all of them from Beyonce to these other newer nightmares, and men are writing a lot/most of their material. I can't relate to that. I checked this song too and men wrote it. These are not songs from women to women. These are songs from men about what messages they want women to internalize. They'll throw a bone here and there so it's not immediately obvious but this is the endgame.
