Purity and celibacy are not the same thing.

A celibate person abstains from marriage and sexual relations. Someone who is 50 and previously sexually active could be celibate if they decided at 48 that they would no longer pursue marriage or sex.

That said, have you ever considered the fact that I might value purity and celibacy because I personally find them to be appealing? It was empowering to be a virgin and I loved it while I had it. I'm a loner and have always done what I want to do with my life regardless of society.

Having sex ruined penetrative masturbation for me because my partners were that bad. And on top of that, if I remained celibate I would have never gotten into a situation where I was violated and I would be happier because guys are leeches and being with them takes me from happy to depressed.

So yea, I screwed up. I knew how terrible people were before dating for the first time at 21, but I was optimistic. Within 4 years, I realized just how high dark triad traits run in men. Staying a celibate virgin would have saved me in so many ways.
