So one of my friends has bad luck with men, and recently jumped into a relationship with this really distant guy. He shows her attention, takes her places, and she's loving every second of it, but he doesn't (to her) give a shit.

He never really shows any emotion, and only takes her out because she wants to. He even expressed to her that taking her out brings absolutely nothing but losing money for him. That he only does it to make her happy. He doesn't react, at all to anything, really. She cancelled a date, and he basically sent the text equivalent of a shrug.

She got sick of this, and did something desperate. She got in with his friends, to see what he was like otherwise. Same thing. Never shows any interest in doing something for himself, barely speaks, his only kind of humor is sarcastic jabs at his friends. He works a dream job, but apparently doesn't give a shit. He asks her about her day, but apparently hates talking about himself.

Anyway, since she now has the impression that he's all fine, because he acts the same to everyone. She has definite pickme tendencies, and I don't want her to waste her time on a guy that only makes her happy because he literally doesn't give a shit.

Anybody wanna give some advice to pass on, or share your own stories about guys that just have zero enthusiasm for anything?
