Holy fucking shit. I cannot take this anymore. I got recommended some Hot post on r/awfuleverything, which was talking about the Brock Turner case, one of the most blatant instances of rape culture in our legal system and injustices on behalf of victimized women. The case where a man was CAUGHT in the act by two people, raping an unconscious woman, but was only given 6 months in jail. He got off 3 months early for good behavior while his victim will have to live with what happened to her, and the trauma of her trial ("what did you have for dinner? What did you have to drink? What were you wearing?") for the rest of her life.

 

She's obviously not the only one. This happens to millions of girls worldwide a year. It happens TO US, NOT MEN. AND NO, THIS RANT WILL NOT INCLUDE ADDITIVES SUCH AS "it happens to women most of the time" or in any way make note of the exceptions where a woman rapes a man. I'm sick to fucking death of EVERY conversation about women's issues being derailed and overriden with scrotes just because it can happen to them too. THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE EXCEPTION TO THE RULE, THIS IS ABOUT THE RULE. Lets not forget that even when it does happen to men, it's almost always committed by another man.

 

BUT PLEASE, LETS STOP THE WHOLE THREAD TO TALK ABOUT HOW WOMEN CAN RAPE TOO, HOW RAPE CULTURE IS ALSO MISANDRY, HOW THERE ARE MEN DOING TIME FOR FALSE ACCUSATIONS, AND HOW WOMEN NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THOSE.

RAPE, A CRIME THAT HAPPENS PRIMARILY TO US, BY PRIMARILY YOU. This is about Chanel Miller and what happened to her and millions like her and you HAVE to make it about you.
