I’d completely cross out the solving my problems half of the sentence. That’s my impulse. Men don’t want us solving theirs with the same principle in mind; unless we ask we don’t want them to solve ours either. Sometimes we need them to listen while we let off steam and we don’t need them to figure out how to fix what we’re venting about when we just need an empathetic ear.

They get upset when we try to fix things they’re doing, and we get upset when they try to fix things when we just want an empathetic ear. I usually sit down and tell my bf I need to let off some steam and I just want someone to tell it too who won’t try to solve it. 👌
