(Note: This post deals with legal issues in the USA. Do look up similar policies, if they exist, in your country.)

So there's a new video making the rounds of a man getting violent in an airport because someone told him to wear a mask. Apparently it's their right not to wear masks and spread a deadly virus in the middle of a pandemic, AND threaten your safety for challenging them. But that's a rant for another time.

This man was arrested and will likely face long-term consequences such as not being allowed to fly. Stories like this are popping up all the time now. From the linked article:

Since Jan. 1, 2021, the FAA has received approximately 3,889 reports of unruly behavior by passengers, but the majority of those have been mask violations.

(Yes, there are women included in that group. This is irrelevant information for the majority of this sub who wants to date men. Calm down, lurkers.)

I think some more time will manifest before these issues manifest more in the dating pool, but going forward I would be very suspicious of any man who does not want to fly, take a cruise, or do any form of traveling. Maybe the odd road trip. I get it, road trips can be great, and there are other reasons why someone wouldn't want to fly. But between the anti-mask violence and the Capitol riots, I'd start to wonder if these people are actually on a no-fly list for prior bad acts.

So when the world opens back up and you start looking for travel options, be wary if your new prospect suddenly has an aversion to travel. This may not be a red flag on its own, but something you should investigate further. (But of course, don't travel with new partners but establish commitment first.)
