So after my last relationship ended (see previous post), I did a bit of soul searching and realized that the deep down the reason that I stayed with such a LVM was because I thought I deserved it. I never would have considered myself as a person with low self esteem, but I think I figured it out.

When my LVM would do nice things for me (the rare occasions that it happened LMAO), my emotional response was to be uncomfortable and feel guilty. I didn’t want him or anyone else to go out of their way for me, or take time out of their days to make me happy. I was afraid of inconveniencing anyone. Even though I worked on my mental health, and quite honestly loved myself, my self worth was cut off when other people were involved.

When I realized this, I came up with a new plan. I’m going to be single for a few more weeks, and after that I’m going to start casually dating again. However, my intention in this isn’t to find a future husband, or even a long term boyfriend. I’m looking for someone who will be the absolute biggest simp on the planet (lol). Of course I’ll still follow FDS and maintain my standards, but I’m not looking for someone who I’m super compatible with at the moment. I want someone who will hang onto my every word, buy me gifts, treat me to dinner, make fun date plans, etc.

I’m doing this so I can get used to being treated like a queen (I’m even uncomfortable typing that out!!), without the pressure of building a lasting relationship. I’m going into this with the mindset of bettering myself and knowing I don’t want a major commitment. I hope this will allow for my emotional growth, so that when I do find someone I am emotionally and mentally compatible with, I will have my standards, and I will be more than comfortable with being treated well.

What do you FDS ladies think of this, and can anyone relate? Or has anyone done something similar? And thank you queens for helping me leave my LVM, and start my path of being treated how I should be. <3
