There's a post on the front page right that's a video of a son knocking out his stepdad for slapping his mom.

One of the comments was a mini rant calling him a simp.

I can only hope it was ironic, because imagine thinking that a son defending his mom from an abuser is a negative trait.

Tbh anytime a guy I know uses the word simp I've begin to disregard their opinion and eventually cut them out. I've already gotten rid of a few guys that way and its helped tremendously to know who in my circles in high value and low value.

COMPLETELY agree. I was shocked to hear the kind of situations "Simp" was used in and that it was actually an insult. Ugh. This is how homosocial crowds of men further propagate the idea that mistreating women is somehow the right way to be. Men need to use their critical thinking more, and realise that they can only benefit from treating women with respect and kindness. I think the ones shouting simp are failing so miserably with women, they're outraged to see the success men have when they're actually decent and therefore are vehemently opposed to these shows of decency.

Soooo I do feel like the meaning of simp got messed up because people, mostly weak ass, incel types, started throwing it around as an insult to men that do better them so it lost its original meeting.

For example, I was talking to this guy that got kinda possessive within like the first 3 weeks. He was insisting we didn’t text enough, insisting I didn’t care because we didn’t text, basically trying to guilt me into caring more than I did. So after the second time he tried to check where I was, I had to let him know that I wasn’t looking for anything serious and there were no hard feelings but he was coming on too strong for me. He said he was cool with it and we could stay friends. But then out the blue he’s telling the friend that I met him through how he cut me off and how it’s so funny that I still watch his Snapchat story because he doesn’t follow me but he legit follows me on everything but LinkedIn essentially lmao. Basically tried to play me off to our mutual friend like he dropped me and it’s just obvious he was hurt because I wasn’t tolerating his shit. That’s a simp.

But the only and one time I agree with the use of that word is when a man financially supports a woman he's never even met because he has a fantasy about her. AKA twitch girl, cam girls, strippers. Like Belle delphine. I made a post a long time ago here speaking about this.
