Left a toxic 2 month situationship (he was cheating and telling me we were exclusive) in August. I chose to ignore the red flags- never again. Found FDS right after and changed my mindset. Started a gut healing cleanse/elimination diet, herbal teas, no drinking, acupuncture, and working on my side business, and just deleted my dating apps 💖

Before FDS I didn’t even realize how many guys I was in contact with casually that were lvm. Guys I met through OLD, guys I went on a few dates with (before they got cagey), guys who were total strangers but who interacted with me on social media (like watching my ig stories 5 seconds after I post every time). Blocked every single one of them and I feel so much lighter.

Just kicked him out last week. Still hurting but I know it’s for the best. We were friends for years before we dated for a year and he was terrible. He used to be such a supportive friend, but as a boyfriend he would gaslight, lie and use the silent treatment, so much bullshit that left me begging to be treated like a human. I gave him too many chances because of the friendship we had. Feeling sad, but also that glimmer of relief that I don’t have to deal with that anymore. Still in that awful phase of wanting to text him, but I haven’t and won’t.

So many times I swear I blocked someone from my stupid pickme casual phase last year pre FDS but they pop back up.

Every conversation is the SAME and I only entertain them to remind myself that these men are all the same and don't forget it.

Him: hey how you been?

Me: who is this?

Him: its (whomever) just thought I'd see how you're doing, its been a while since we hung out. (Sends awful selfie so I can remember them)

Me: yeah I'm only dating seriously now. I don't have time for casual (expletive), good luck to you out there

Him: oh no I meant I liked watching movies with you as well, not just (expletive)! You're ~such a chill/cool chick~ (or similar language to try to appeal to me that it wasn't what it was, a useless fuck buddy situation where I was available)

Me: alright, stay safe out there from covid!

Left my ex three months ago. I’m honestly feeling great. I thought I’d be more sad. I know now it was the right decision. I’m working hard on my fitness goals. And I’m finally about to finish a seven month long training course for my career switch. Life is good despite the pandemic.
