Well it depends on what position you want to be in. Get a good divorce lawyer and being a starter wife is not that bad,lol. See Mackensie Bezos. And don’t have more children than you can comfortably care for on your own.

But the only way to avoid it is to try and get with a guy who’s already successful and be his trophy wife from what I can see.

Don’t date someone still in school or doesn’t have their life together yet. Date people already developed in their careers.

I’m young and living in nyc. Guys here are immature and don’t get their shit together until like 30/35+. But any guy that old that wants to date me is also likely a predator. I’m far more successful than most guys my age, many of whom don’t know how to take out the trash or still sleep on a floor mattress. 😐Should I just stay single and wait it out?

Don't date potential. Don't date the guy who says he'll be a surgeon "someday" but he hasn't even graduated from college. Date the guy who is a surgeon already. Don't date the guy who is broke and struggling to reach his dreams of becoming a multi millionaire. He'll have you fund his dream and dump you for his dream girl once he makes it.

The options in women that a man has expands once he gets money and success. If he marries you after he gets success, he'll associate you with that success instead of his past struggle when he had no money and no options.
