Hi guys. Weird impromptu lesson today cuz of a recent post about that dumbass PUA book and my revelation that I saw the tactics constantly in girls asking for advice about certain dates. AKA,

Men being super warm and enthusiastic in dates but extremely cold and distant, or semi-ghosting in text. And something even worse…

Sex just happened.

Oftentimes these were girls that were shown a good time by someone they blindly labeled as HVM who didn’t really push and made them feel like sex just unfolded randomly. Honestly, sex never happens randomly. Even if we aren’t talking about PUA scumbags, sex does not just happen. Takes a certain scene, mood. Escalation.

So I decided to just write this out real quickly. If I help even 1 girl that’s worth it. I will have a tiny discussion here and there; morals to takeaway. I just got this from a few summaries. God forbid that I read the book itself, but I can do this much.

So...

PUA has to do with posturing and faking status, making the woman feel as if she’s being pulled in on her own volition despite actually just being played. I'm sure there's a subset that avoids the manipulation but focuses on pretending to be a HVM.

You’ve likely been caught if he’s going cold after giving you an amazing night and you feel like chasing after him. And no. Dude DOES NOT have to be a PUA to manufacture similar manipulation tricks; what is most popular seems to be the "hot then cold" one. Sowing the seeds and then letting the girl do the guessing game.

I'll quote choice passages. They're not necessarily interlinked but they're concepts that I believe are good to remember and internalize.

“A pickup artist never gives a girl his phone number, because she might not call. A PUA must make a woman comfortable enough to give him her number.”

Note: NO, this isn’t a green flag if he gives you his phone number either. In fact this isn’t a guide as to how to conclusively decide whether or not someone has PUA-like intentions…because hell. PUA is much about making the woman feel secure that he isn’t some PUA and to give her a false sense of agency. Stay alert. But, yup. Of course avoidant behavior is a red flag.

A lot of PUA involves approaching groups, and first alienating and then isolating the “victim.” Negging is involved as well, but we all know that...and when the girl is away form her friends or already alone, he can drop a pseudo-deep question. I.e...

“Beauty is common but what’s rare is great energy and outlook on life. Tell me, what do you have inside that would make me want to know you as more than a mere face in the crowd?

Basically a mirror of the "ask people about themselves to make them like you" validation trick; it's considered cinched if the woman answers and starts listing off stuff.

And it also reminds me of the "what can you offer" trick that a lot of guys do to deflect attention away from themselves. Beware.

Never give a woman a straight answer to a question. If a woman asks what you do for a living, keep her guessing: tell her you’re a cigarette lighter repairman or a white slave trader or a professional hopscotch player.

Now this one seems straight-up crazy. But whatever!

Push-Pull: a technique used to create or increase attraction, in which a man gives a woman indications that he is not interested in her followed by indications that he is. This sequence can take place in a few seconds-such as taking a woman’s hands and then dropping them as if you don’t trust her yet-or over time, such as being very nice during one phone conversation but then very distant and abrupt during the next one

After the opening interaction, demonstrate value. Then pretend like you have to get back to your friends. Now they don’t want you to leave. You are in.

People are pack animals. Do not trust the crowd’s pressure. Even if they like a person does not mean he is good, there's many, many people out there that exploit status to come off as being someone different than they actually are.

Also, many, many dudes already know that they need to perform romance to bed some women. It's like a game to many of them. Always remember that you shouldn't even really begin to trust a man in the first few months you're with him.

When she pulls up to your house, give her another false time constraint: tell her you have to get to sleep early because you have a lot of work tomorrow. By this point, you both may know you’re going to have sex, but you still have to play a solid game so she can tell herself later that it just happened. Continue using a combination of time constraints and push-pull to amp her attraction. Keep telling her she has to leave soon.

You should always be the first one to object. This is called stealing her frame.

Yes-Ladder: capturing her attention by asking questions that require an obvious affirmative answer. (Note: I found this hysterical because it reminds me a bit of that idiot Ben Shapiro’s debate manipulation strategy.)

Simply finding out that you have a passion for something another person also likes and respects is enough to fire chemistry. When two people discover they have things in common, pheromones are released and attraction begins.

PUAs can still manufacture the semblance of a genuine connection. A notice a lot of girls here be nostalgic about the “connection” they shared with fuckboys or LVMs on first dates months or years ago only for the same men to basically be playing them.

I heard something beautiful here about a piece of advice said by a girl’s grandma: don’t trust charming men. And she didn’t mean the quirky or interesting ones…just the ones that are a bit too magnetic. There's also a distinction between men who take pride in their looks, and vain men--"Peacocks." I don't believe men that attract everyone like flies constantly are necessarily the best. But that's another million word write-up for another day.

Annnd that’s it besides that the book’s depraved author basically saying men are extremely shallow and sex-driven and women look for a deep connection and nuance. Is this helpful? No. Is it funny? Yes.

for a summary of that-book-that-shall-not-be-named more takeaways, if you need them.
