My husband is the BEST cook. He really, really takes joy in making me beautiful, high quality meals, not only for special days, but every single day I have any particular craving. Tomorrow he's going to make me Beef Wellington with roasted potatoes and asparagus. Chocolate fondue for dessert. He gets me gifts too, but it's always the food that is really special. I don't understand why men think we only want material things. Show me you care with your time and effort.

I love this! It is really all about effort and not about a certain price tag.

I hadn't gotten my partner anything for today as I expected both of us to be busy and overworked, but he presented me with a handwritten love letter, speciality tea from my favourite region, custom mug, and he woke me up with breakfast in bed. In my opinion, that shows more attention and effort, than if some rich scrote just bought something random to shut you up (been there).
